Marie & Kevin

A Christmas wedding in West Cork. Marie and Kevin said their vows in front of a full local church, before the day moved out to Fernhill House Hotel in Clonakilty. The tree was lit in the hall, the low winter sun caught the gardens, and the couple stepped out onto the red carpet to a warm welcome.

We also joined Marie and Kevin at Galley Head Lighthouse, standing white against the Atlantic on its headland. They had the gallery to themselves, with the sea breaking on the rocks below and the light going gold across the water. Those few quiet minutes became some of our favourite frames in the whole film, and a reminder of why this stretch of coast is so hard to beat.
